Payment Options
Updated as of December 1, 2025
This Payment Processing & Payout Options forms part of Livently’s Terms of Service and governs the processing of payments made through the Livently platform (“Platform”).
Livently operates as an online marketplace that facilitates transactions between independent vendors (“Vendors”) and customers (“Organisers”). Livently is not a financial institution, payment processor, bank, or money services business.
1. Payment Service Providers
To facilitate transactions on the Platform, Livently uses third-party payment service providers (“Payment Providers”), including:
a. Stripe Connect
For countries and regions supported by Stripe, Livently uses Stripe Connect to process payments. Stripe Connect enables secure payments, automated payouts to vendors, and compliance with local regulatory requirements.
Stripe supports multiple payment methods including, but not limited to:
- Credit and debit cards
- Bank transfers (where available)
- Local payment methods depending on country support
Stripe’s availability varies by country. Users located in Stripe-supported regions will be prompted to complete payments using Stripe at checkout.
b. Paystack
For African markets and other regions where Stripe is not supported, including Kenya, Livently uses Paystack as a payment processor.
Paystack supports a range of local and regional payment methods, which may include:
- Credit and debit cards
- Mobile money (where available)
- Bank transfers
Available payment options may vary depending on the user’s country, bank, or mobile network.
The applicable Payment Provider is determined based on geographic availability and may change at Livently’s discretion.
All payment transactions are processed exclusively by the relevant Payment Provider and are subject to that provider’s terms, conditions, and privacy policies.

Unless expressly stated otherwise:
- Vendors are the sellers and providers of the services listed on the Platform.
- Vendors are responsible for the fulfillment of services.
- Livently does not act as the merchant of record for Vendor services unless explicitly stated.
Where Stripe Connect is used:
- Payments are processed via Stripe on behalf of Vendors.
- Funds are collected and allocated in accordance with Stripe Connect’s marketplace model.
- Stripe transfers funds to Vendors’ connected accounts, less applicable fees and deductions.
Where Paystack is used:
- Payments are processed through Paystack on behalf of Vendors.

Livently does not directly receive, hold, or control customer payment credentials.
3. Vendor Onboarding and Verification
Vendors may be required to:
- Create or connect an account with the applicable Payment Provider
- Provide identity, business, tax, and banking information
- Complete verification or compliance checks as required by applicable laws
Failure to complete required verification may result in delayed payouts, account suspension, or restriction of Platform functionality.
Livently is not responsible for decisions made by Payment Providers regarding onboarding, account approval, suspension, or termination.
4. Fees and Deductions
4.1 Platform Fees
Livently may charge Vendors a platform service fee for facilitating marketplace transactions. Applicable fees will be disclosed in Vendor agreements or prior to transaction confirmation.

In the event of a chargeback, reversal, or dispute:
- The Vendor is generally responsible for the underlying transaction.
- Applicable dispute fees imposed by the Payment Provider may be deducted from the Vendor’s balance.

Initial payouts may be subject to rolling reserves or delayed settlement in accordance with Payment Provider policies.
Livently does not guarantee specific payout timelines and is not liable for delays caused by Payment Providers, financial institutions, or regulatory requirements.
6. Currency and Conversion
Transactions are processed in currencies supported by the applicable Payment Provider.
Where currency conversion is required:
- Exchange rates are determined by the Payment Provider or associated financial institutions.
- Additional conversion fees may apply.
Livently is not responsible for exchange rate fluctuations or foreign transaction charges.
7. Refunds and Cancellations
Refunds are processed through the original Payment Provider.
Refund eligibility is determined in accordance with:
- The Vendor’s cancellation or refund policy

Processing times may vary depending on the Customer’s financial institution and the Payment Provider.
Payment processing fees may be non-refundable, subject to the Payment Provider’s policies.
8. Compliance and Regulatory Matters
